Day 1
Welcome to Slovenia
Arrive to Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital city. Your private chauffer will welcome you at the airport and take you to the centrally-located Hotel Intercontinental. Refresh from your journey in the hotel’s spa, take in the panoramic views from the rooftop restaurant or venture out to discover the nearby historical center.
Day 2
Get to know Ljubljana
Stroll around the youthful and vibrant center of Ljubljana with a local guide. Admire the charming blend of sturdy Austro-Hungarian architecture, opulent Baroque ornamentation, and playful Art Nouveau facades. From one of the many romantic bridges, marvel at the emerald waters of Ljubljanica River. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, soaking up the creative vibe and the town’s fab dining scene.
Day 3
Soar in Julian Alps
Soak up the alpine beauty of Triglav National Park with your guide. Stretch your legs along the green shores of Lake Bohinj and ponder a ski-break at Vogel Ski center. Then continue to Lake Bled. Hop on a traditional pletna boat to reach the island and its Baroque church, then soar high above the lake at the 11th-century Bled Castle offering mind-blowing views from its vantage point on a clifftop.
Day 4
Roam Postojna Cave
Traveling from Slovenia to Croatia, stop to explore Postojna Cave, a spectacular string of massive caves adorned with huge stalactites and stalagmites. Take an adventurous train ride through this immense system of underground arches and limestone sculptures. After an easy lunch on own, continue to the Croatian Istrian peninsula and the town of Rovinj. Settle in the Grand Hotel Park and relax for the rest of the day.
Day 5
Discover Rovinj and Pula
Explore two charming towns with your guide and chauffeur. Walk the colorful labyrinth of medieval alleyways in Rovinj and climb to the town’s highest point at St. Euphemia Church for panoramas of the archipelago. Then travel to Pula, replete with stunning Roman-era heritage, from the wonderfully preserved amphitheater, Pula Arena, to the Temple of Augustus.
Day 6
Look for hilltop towns and truffles
Venture with your guide and chauffeur to explore the tiny hilltop towns that dot Istria’s bucolic landscape; the artsy Grožnjan, boasting stunning views of Mirna River valley and Motovun, the fortified medieval gem. Afterwards, head into the dense Motovun forest for a unique adventure – truffle hunt with local truffle hunters. Round off the day with a feast of truffle specialties.
Day 7
Admire Plitvice Lakes
Head to Zadar. Along the way, stop to visit Croatia’s most famous National Park and UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site: Plitvice Lakes. Tour the dramatic waterfalls and serene lakes with a local guide, then enjoy a lunch on own. Arrive to Zadar and check into the boutique Hotel Bastion. You will be just in time for what Albert Hitchcock dubbed “the prettiest sunset in the world”.
Day 8
Delight in Zadar and Šibenik
Join a local guide to explore Zadar’s unique blend of Roman history, medieval sites and contemporary installations like the Sea Organ, then visit the Museum of Ancient Glass and admire sacred art at the Church of St. Mary. Transfer to Šibenik for a private tour and sightseeing of the Cathedral of St. James. Travel to Split, the largest coastal town, and check into the centrally-located Hotel Park and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 9
Tour Split and cook in Trogir
Roam the Diocletian’s palace in Split with a guide and take in its incredible ensemble of Roman, Gothic, Romanesque and Renaissance architecture. Then transfer to the petite Trogir, stroll around its fortified center, before joining a fantastic local home chef at her 13th-century palace-home. Day 10
Experience Brač Island
Board the public ferry with your guide and for a transfer to the Brač island. Enjoy its historical towns, mysterious monasteries and caves: visit Škrip, one of the oldest continuously inhabited localities in Europe; Blaca, with its hidden hermit monastery. Head to Dol, a typical Dalmatian village, and savor a simple traditional lunch. Return to Split and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 11
Fall in love with Dubrovnik
Travel from Split to Dubrovnik, Croatia’s southernmost gem. Get a birds’-eye perspective of the town and its region from Mt. Srđ, admiring the intricate layout, domes and red roofs of Dubrovnik Old Town. Check into the prestigious boutique hotel Villa Dubrovnik. In the afternoon, join a local guide to explore the history and present day of the Pearl of the Adriatic.
Day 12
Take in the Dubrovnik countryside
Immerse in nature, arts and traditions of the Konavle region, a fertile valley some 30-minute-drive from Dubrovnik. Stroll the seafront and the bougainvillea-splashed alleys of the quaint town of Cavtat, then venture out further to a local home in Gruda village to learn about the centuries-long tradition of silk-making. Round off the day with a traditional lunch made of homegrown ingredients at a family estate deep in the countryside.
Day 13
Admire Montenegro’s Boka Bay
Travel to Montenegro and take in the dramatic beauty of its Boka Bay along the way. In the seaside town of Perast, hop on a small boat to reach the mystical Our Lady of the Rock church. Roam the twisting alleys of the medieval town of Kotor, looking for traces of its glorious Venetian past. After a leisure lunch on your own, continue to Aman Sveti Stefan resort, set in a 15th-century fortified islet village.
Day 14
Sky-high in Montenegro
Soar to Lovćen, Montenegro’s sacred mountain. Take in the awe-inspiring vistas of the ‘black mountains’, and the beauty of Ivan Meštrović’s Mausoleum. Continue to Cetinje, the old royal capital, and explore heritage with a local guide: the Orthodox Cetinje Monastery, and King Nikola’s palace, seat of the dynasty that ruled Montenegro for over two centuries. Experience Montenegrin hospitality and taste traditional liquors and foods at a local family-run restaurant.

When to Travel
You may visit Slovenia, Croatia, and Montenegro year-round. The schedule for this itinerary is flexible, although keep in mind that some hotels and restaurants may be closed during off-season months. Consider visiting from spring through fall in order to take advantage of the nice weather. To fully indulge in the countries’ experiences and activities, visiting during summer months is ideal; trust us, you would want to see the Adriatic and those Dubrovnik sunsets at its best.
