Day 1
Welcome to Zagreb
Arrive to Croatia’s bustling capital and get swept away by its central European charm, lively squares and vibrant open-air markets, romantic city parks and urban spirit. Your chauffeur will take you to settle in the renowned Hotel Esplanade, once built to host the Orient Express travelers. Enjoy a pleasant evening stroll in the city center.
Day 2
Medvednica hiking
Meet your guide in the morning for a hike to Zagreb’s very own mountain. 1.035 meters high, Medvednica is a popular getaway for people of Zagreb with numerous trails and great picnic spots. It is also a great place for mushroom picking in the fall! Return to Zagreb in the afternoon hours and walk the lively center, from the historic Upper town to the square of Ban Jelačić.
Day 3
The island of Rab
Your chauffeur will meet you in the morning for a private transfer to the island of Rab. As you drive from Zagreb to the coast, you will also enjoy an easy hike in the stunning Plitvice Lakes National Park. Reach Rab in afternoon hours and get settled in hotel Arbiana, before spending a relaxing evening in beautiful Rab town.
Day 4
Rab Hiking
After enjoying your breakfast over the Mediterranean scents of Rab, meet your guide for a private hiking tour of the island. Explore the rugged terrain of one of Croatia’s most fascinating islands, known for historic forests, karst landscapes and the longest sandy beaches in the country. After the tour, enjoy a lovely seaside evening on your own.
Day 5
Sea Kayaking off Rab
Meet your guide in the morning to embark on a unique adventure. You will kayak to Goli Otok. The island is best known for its dark ages as an infamous political prison in the second half of the 20th century. As the days of “Alcatraz of the Adriatic” are long over, you will probably be accompanied only by a wandering sheep or two.
Day 6
Walking tour of Zadar
Arrive to the uprising gem, the city of Zadar. Once the capital of Dalmatia, Zadar is cherishing a renaissance, with new worthwhile venues popping up, and more and more people coming to hear the tunes of the Sea Organ. Perfectly positioned to explore the northern Adriatic, Zadar will be your home for the next few days.
Day 7
Hiking Paklenica & Modrić cave
Set out for a day of true adventures! With two river gorges cutting into the Velebit Mountain, Paklenica is a stunning visual site and features almost 200 kilometers of paths ranging from active walks to mountaineering trails. At your Modrić cave spelunking adventure, get all propped up with hard hats and head lamps, as true explorers!
Day 8
Motorboat tour of Kornati National Park
This unique maze of islands, rocks and crystal-clear sea is best enjoyed by boat. See the cliffs of Dugi otok, lighthouse of Sestrice, movie set ruins on Mana and one of Croatia’s most beautiful beaches Lojena. Kornati are a pure Mediterranean pleasure! Return in the afternoon hours for your last night in Zadar.
Day 9
Krka River National Park
Visit another stunning nature site, Krka River and its seven waterfalls, the largest one called Skradinski Buk. Visit the small island of Visovac, with its Franciscan Monastery from the 15th century. Hike through nature to visit the renovated historic water mills. After the tour, enjoy a 6-course slow-food lunch at Pelegrini restaurant in Šibenik, before heading to Split.
Day 11
Cycling in Dalmatian Hinterland
Find a completely different world as you cross the mountains above Split. An area of many springs and creeks, Dalmatian Hinterland is a mostly flat, scenic landscape ideal for cycling and hiking. The signature feature of all our cycling trips is a memorable gourmet picnic lunch prepared by your guide Dom.
Day 12
Dubrovnik Urban Adventure
Morning departure from Split to Dubrovnik. Stop en route for oyster tasting! The King’s Landing, as it is nowadays often called, the Old Town of Dubrovnik is an amazing medieval town embraced by two kilometers of stone walls and bound to leave you in awe. After the tour, set out to wander the streets of the old town.
Day 13
Sea Kayak & Konavle
Feel very much like the pirates used to, standing small underneath the mighty City Walls of Dubrovnik. You will pass underneath them when you paddle from St. Jacob’s beach to the island of Lokrum. Stop to take a walk through the island’s botanical garden and have a swim, before a lunch in the countryside!

This adventure-packed program offers everything from walking tours of cities’ highlights to adrenaline boosting actvities, such as kayaking, hiking, zip line, spelunking, etc. Croatia has an incredible diversity of landscapes and interesting locations which will certainly be a heaven for all adventure seekers. There are numerous activities and experiences available within this program, and it can all be further modified for a private tour based on your preferences.
When to Travel
Adventure in Croatia itinerary is available year-round, with May, September and October being the best months we recommend for outdoor activities. For this program, consider visiting in spring, or early fall, since this is when the weather is pleasant enough for spending majority of time outside and in the nature. If you prefer water activities, and this is what you want your program to be focused on, summer would be the perfect time to visit.
Payments
50% deposit payment is due upon booking of this program. After we have received the payment, you will be sent an official confirmation to your mail. Balance payment is due one month prior to arrival. We accept wire transfer and major credit cards through our secure payment gateway (Visa, Amex, Mastercard). In case of significant changes after finalizing the trip, there will be a 250€ surcharge.
