Lisa and I could not have been more pleased with the Secret Dalmatia tour! Every step was very thoughtfully arranged and executed flawlessly. It was for us a wonderful, fun and very relaxing 15th wedding anniversary trip.
We were very pleased with each transfer. All of the drivers were prompt, very nice, and got us where we were going safely, and efficiently. All of the tours were great, but the hike with Mirna at the Plitvice Lakes National Park and the walking tour of Split and Trogir with Natasa really stand out because of their knowledge and passion for what they were showing us.
We loved the two lunches with Chef Jolanda and Katija, and very much appreciated eating meals prepared with local fish, meats, wines and produce from their gardens. Chef Jolanda graciously showed us how to cook several of the dishes. We certainly plan to take one of her cooking classes the next time we visit Split!
We thought that all of the accommodations were very comfortable and well chosen. The Hotel Palace Elisabeth really was special. It must have been the Secret Dalmatia connection, because they gave us a room with a balcony overlooking the harbor (one of only two or three in the hotel). It is probably the nicest hotel that we have ever stayed in.
Finally, we really appreciated the very prompt responses to all of our inquiries from you and others on the Secret Dalmatia team. It made everything easy for us.
Let me close by thanking you for all of your wonderful recommendations and selections in planning this trip for us. We loved every minute of it—so much that we are now thinking about our next trip to Croatia, and we will not wait 15 years before returning again! Actually, we’re considering a trip within the next 2 or 3 years. For our next visit, we may be looking for accommodations on Hvar for a couple of months in the fall. If we do, we will certainly reach out to Secret Dalmatia for arranging several excursions while we are there. And if you have any recommendations for longer-term rentals (or rental agencies), we will welcome your advice.
