Dubravka,
Speaking for the group, I want to thank you for the wonderful way you organized and planned our trip to Croatia and Montenegro. I do not believe it would have been as memorable if Secret Dalmatia were not physically located in Croatia. Almost every day you had something special included in our itinerary that only could have been arranged through your special connections that you have cultivated over the years. The name Secret Dalmatia is well earned for the unique experiences you provided us throughout our entire journey. I want to mention just a few of the special things you included in our 10 day trip.
We were staying at a villa in Lake Como. Instead of us having to provide for our own transportation to Croatia, you arranged for a Sprinter Van to pick us up at the villa to transfer us to Rovinj to start our 10 day adventure. Tony our van driver was our private chauffeur throughout the entire trip including transferring us to the airport for our departure home. By you arranging for our trip to begin in Lake Como you saved us the hassle and time of having to provide for our own transportation to Croatia.
Our group is all about experiencing great food and wine and on that score you hit it out of the park. It started with a special truffle lunch in a family estate near Motovun followed by a multi-course dinner with wine paring at the Relais & Chateaux Meneghetti Hotel and Winery. In Split you arranged for an exclusive private dinner in the 13th century home of the internationally celebrated chef Tatjana on the tiny island of Trogir. En route to Aman Sveti Stefan Resort in Montenegro we stopped in Mali Ston Bay to have a seafood lunch prepared just for us on a private island which included what everyone agreed were the best fresh oysters any of us had ever eaten. In Dubrovnik you planned a visit to a family run farm where they shared their homemade olive oil, grappa and wine. Which was followed with a home cooked meal made especially for us from their wood fired oven. Every day we had some unique culinary experiences and these are just examples of how special they were.
We wanted the best accommodations we could get in each of the cities we visited and like the food and wine they were exceptional too. The newly opened Grand Hotel Park in Rovinj with its contemporary architecture built into a hill overlooking the bay, Hotel Judita Palace located in the middle of old town Split with its eccentric innkeeper, the fabulous Aman Sveti Stefan Island Resort in Montenegro and you capped it off with the 6 bedroom Villa Luce in Dubrovnik to end our stay in your wonderful country.
However, what really made our trip unique were all the special people we encountered throughout our entire journey. At the top of the list was Tony our driver, knowledgeable tour guide and confidant who stayed with us from beginning to end. At each of the stops on the itinerary we were met with local professional guides who had in depth knowledge about each of the places we were visiting. After each of the tours, we felt we left knowing special insights about that particular place that we would have not known otherwise. Finally, we enjoyed meeting you personally in Split. It was a pleasure to able to put a face with a name and to thank you in person for all the hard work and planning you did to make our experience one we will never forget.
Sincerely,
