Dear Mirna,
As I am writing this, we are sitting in the shade with a karlovačko outside our luxurious Vestibul Hotel in Split, being intermittently serenaded by the wonderful male singer group that seems to almost live here. Every few minutes they sing for the tourists in the Vestibul itself and then sit around and drink coffee with us guests - it's great!
We just wanted to let you know that this has been one of our most memorable trips ever! The pace of the itinerary was just about perfect for us. Somehow, whenever we needed to rest or just do something spontaneous, you managed to create that opportunity. Some of the activities you organized for us were absolutely special - like dinner in the mountains on the island of Hvar, and, for sure, our cooking adventure with Tatjana for sure.
I can't say enough about all the wonderful people we have met. Wit... >>> read more>>>

Hi Mirna,
I finally have a little time to give you some of our thoughts about our fabulous trip to Croatia. Our biggest regret is that we didn’t have more time to spend in each place plus some time to visit Istria.
The guides that you arranged were all excellent. Our particular favorites were Maris in Dubrovnik and Neven in Zagreb. They both had outstanding knowledge and great suggestions for additional activities and restaurants. Neven saved us when Air France cancelled our flight from DE Gaulle at the last minute. He was able to rebook us on Austrian Air through Vienna so that we got back home about the same time as we would have with Air France. He was extremely resourceful as well when we went to the State Archives. Our least favorite was the gal in Kotor (I’m not sure of her name, Tanja I think). She had a seemingly rote presentation and not too much ... >>> read more>>>

Thank you so much Mirna and Secret Dalmatia for providing a wonderful vacation for us. It is almost impossible to imagine how this trip could have been better. You provided a great itinerary, fabulous driver and guides, unexpectedly luxurious accommodations, wonderful food, variety of experiences and responsiveness to unforeseeable circumstances (weather) and you did it all with grace and elegance. I was especially appreciative of the fact that you varied our days and our events. You mixed sightseeing with wine tasting and hikes in the parks with outstanding cooking classes and great food. Days on the water and in the water were coupled with nights walking the cobblestone streets of ancient towns and villages. Fabulous. History was told by all the guides and told with knowledge and honor and pride. I have to take a moment and point out a couple of my favorite people. First of... >>> read more>>>

Croatia – September 2014
When planning our first visit to Croatia, we had only a general idea of what to expect, not much knowledge of the country or its people or its challenging history. All we knew is that we wanted to go there based upon what we had heard, but didn’t quite know where to start.
We live in Toronto, a large city with a number of Croatians living here, so we assumed it would be fairly easy to get a travel agent who specialized in Croatia. Instead, we found that the only agent we could find in Toronto engaged only in selling air tickets and car rentals for holidaying Croatian nationals, but not in planning a trip of the kind that Joyce and I and our travelling friends Barb and Graham Carver wanted.
Fortunately, our friends through Dr. Jack Toole had heard of Secret Dalmatia, a Croatian based travel agent, with whom we were the... >>> read more>>>

Hi Vlasta,
I am back in Australia and back at work. The 8 weeks of holidays are a distant memory.
With the Croatia group trip, in short all went well. No dramas apart from the petty stuff with regard to rooms in Dubrovnik.
What was liked:
Day trips all good
Trogir, Zadar, Plitvice – all to plan. Zlatko good as driver and info, and the tour guides excellent.
Also Dubrovnik a hit. Travel on route via Brela – 2 hour swim was loved. Booked accommodation for next year at Brela. Also lunch in Tucepi old town in biokovo. Friend prepared a Peka for 14. Unfortunately the minibus could not go all the way so we all walked – even the bus driver, about 500 metres.
Ston was a highlight – oysters and mussels on the little island. Recommended for others.
Korcula also loved – outdoor entertainment, Toni the guide was a ... >>> read more>>>

Hi, Diana
I wanted to thank you again for the extra effort to fetch my beloved IPAD. I certainly appreciated it.
Your planning for us was exceptional and we in particular liked the guides. All were well informed, polite, accommodating, and really enhanced our trip.
Can't tell you what was my favorite........ Hmmm. favorite hotel was room in Zagreb; favorite set up and meal service was Split. Least favorite room was Dubrovnik, small and tricky; least favorite set-up was Zagreb dining...... A real zoo.
If I left one thing out, it might be Zagreb, but we are sailors so being near boats is fun for us. The parks were amazing.
Thank you,
Betsy Kelly
